We follow Canadian privacy laws and standards

Look, we get it - nobody really wants to read through pages of legal stuff. But your privacy's important to us, so we've laid it out straight. We're a combat training facility in Vancouver, and we collect some info to run our gym and keep things smooth. This policy explains what we gather, why we need it, and what we do with it.

When you sign up at Blaze Furion Realm, we're gonna need a few things from you:

  • Personal Details: Name, email, phone number, address - the basics so we can reach you and set up your account
  • Health Info: Medical history, injuries, fitness level - we need this to keep you safe during training and make sure our coaches know what you're working with
  • Payment Data: Credit card or banking info for membership fees and class packages
  • Emergency Contacts: Who to call if something goes sideways during a heavy training session
  • Photo/Video: Sometimes we capture training sessions or take pics around the gym for social media or improvements
  • Workout Data: Performance metrics, attendance records, personal training notes

We only collect what we actually need - we're not in the business of hoarding unnecessary data.

Here's what we do with the stuff you give us:

  • Running Your Membership: Processing payments, scheduling classes, managing your account
  • Training You Right: Your health info helps our coaches design safe, effective programs tailored to your goals
  • Keeping You Posted: Class updates, schedule changes, special events, new programs
  • Safety First: Emergency contacts are only used if needed, health info helps prevent injuries
  • Improving Our Services: Analyzing attendance patterns, figuring out what's working, what's not
  • Marketing: Promotional emails about new classes or deals - but you can opt out anytime
  • Legal Stuff: Sometimes we gotta comply with regulations or protect our rights

We're not selling your data to third parties or spamming you with junk. Everything we do with your info is to make your experience at our gym better.

We keep your info pretty tight, but there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Payment Processors: Companies like Stripe or Square that handle credit card transactions securely
  • Service Providers: Our booking software, email platform, cloud storage - they need limited access to help us operate
  • Medical Professionals: Only in emergencies or if you've given us permission to share with your doctor/physio
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we have to (court orders, legal investigations, etc.)
  • Business Transfers: If we ever sell or merge the gym, your info might transfer to the new owners

Everyone we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements and required to protect your data. We don't just hand out your info to random companies or spam networks.

Security's not just for our sparring matches - we take data protection seriously:

  • Encrypted Storage: Your data's stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption
  • Limited Access: Only staff who need it for their job can access your personal info
  • Secure Payments: We use PCI-compliant payment processors - we don't store full credit card numbers
  • Physical Security: Paper files (if any) are kept locked up in the office
  • Regular Updates: We keep our systems patched and up-to-date
  • Staff Training: Our team knows how to handle sensitive info properly

No system's 100% bulletproof, but we do everything reasonable to keep your data safe from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you've got some solid rights:

  • Access Your Data: Ask us what info we have about you - we'll give you a copy
  • Correct Mistakes: If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it
  • Withdraw Consent: Change your mind about certain uses? Just tell us (though we might need some info to keep your membership active)
  • Delete Your Data: Request deletion once you're no longer a member (we might need to keep some records for legal/financial reasons)
  • Opt Out of Marketing: Don't want promotional emails? Click unsubscribe or let us know
  • File a Complaint: If you think we've mishandled your data, contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at info@blazefurionrealm.info or come talk to us at the front desk. We'll handle it within 30 days.

Our website uses cookies and similar tech to make things work better:

  • Essential Cookies: Keep you logged in, remember your preferences
  • Analytics: Help us see how people use the site so we can improve it
  • Marketing Cookies: Track conversions from ads (if you've clicked through from Google or Facebook)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features might not work as smoothly. We're not tracking you across the internet or building creepy profiles - just standard stuff to run the site.

We don't keep your info forever - here's our approach:

  • Active Members: We keep your data as long as you're training with us
  • After Cancellation: Most personal info gets deleted within 12 months of membership ending
  • Financial Records: Kept for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes (Canadian law requires this)
  • Legal Matters: If there's a dispute or claim, we'll keep relevant records until it's resolved
  • Marketing Lists: Removed immediately if you unsubscribe

Once we don't need your data anymore, it gets securely deleted or anonymized so it can't be traced back to you.

We offer youth programs for members under 18, and we're extra careful with their info:

  • Parents or guardians must provide consent and sign waivers
  • We collect the same basic info but keep stricter controls on who can access it
  • Photos/videos of minors require explicit parental permission
  • Marketing communications go to parents, not directly to kids

If you're a parent with questions about how we handle your kid's data, hit us up anytime.

We might update this policy from time to time as our gym evolves or laws change. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Major changes will be announced via email or posted at the gym
  • The current version will always be available on this page

Keep checking back occasionally or ask us if you're unsure about anything.
